The 30-Second Way to Sanitize Your Remote

The last time you washed your TV remote was…you can’t remember. And everyone in your house has been coughing and germy and sick. Here, how to give it a scrub-down when all you have is 30 seconds.

What you need: Hand sanitizer and a paper towel (Q-tip optional).

What you do: First, pop the batteries out of the remote. (You don’t want to mess up your TV settings while you clean it, do you?) Then squeeze a dime-sized drop of hand sanitizer onto a paper towel and wipe down the entire surface--front and back.

What about tough-to-reach spots? That’s where the Q-tip comes in. Dab a drop or two of hand sanitizer on it and deep clean in between and around the buttons.

Now? Go back to watching Game of Thrones.
