The jury is still out on whether or not Miami really has a winter season. (Low 70s counts as chilly, right?) Regardless, we think the most important thing to decide is how you’re going to spend the last few months before it really gets hot again. Mark your calendars: You won’t want to miss these 22 events.

1. Fairchild has transformed into a magical place called The NightGarden, where things like the Wise Talking Tree and Flying Fairies come to life through interactive light displays and live effects. Keep an eye out for the holographic butterflies as you wander through multiple acres of wonderment. Through January 6

2. Speaking of illumination, Zoo Miami’s annual Zoo Lights adds a tropical spin to the holiday experience with more than half a million twinkling lights in the shape of animals and palm trees. Through December 29

3. Jam out to tunes from some of the most talented jazz musicians from around the world, who will perform at various venues across Miami Beach during the third annual South Beach Jazz FestivalJanuary 4 to 6

4. Support the next generation of creatives during National YoungArts Week, which showcases the work of local up-and-comers through a lineup of jazz, theater, dance, classical music and film performances. January 6 to 13

5. Feast on frozen treats—you know, for a good cause—at Bal Harbour Shops’ Ice Cream We Love, benefiting Holtz Children’s Hospital. January 12 to 13

6. Art Deco Weekend, the longest-running free cultural event in Miami Beach, returns with more than 85 events. Expect guided tours, a dog show, retro fashion showcases and a swanky jazz lawn party. January 18 to 20 

7. Coconut Grove is one of our absolute favorite neighborhoods to dine in. That’s why we’re all over this year’s Coconut Grove Food & Wine Festival, which will bring together the area’s finest chefs, along with culinary demos, live music, and rum and craft beer bars. January 26

8. PSA: There is a Chocolate Festival and it’s happening in January at Fairchild, complete with samples from artisan chocolatiers and demos by local chefs. January 25 to 27

9. Experience the best of the Arts District during one jam-packed weekend at Wynwood Life. The annual event puts the city’s best food, entertainment, musicians and shops all in one place. (RSVP early for a free drink.) January 25 to 27

10. Lace up for the annual Miami Marathon, which welcomes runners, joggers and walkers on a course that takes you through Miami Beach, Coconut Grove, Key Biscayne and the downtown area. January 27

11. Pull out your cutest koozie for WakeFest. Drink “around the world” as the city’s best local brewers, along with a handful of international brands, unite for an afternoon of beers and small bites. February 2

12. HistoryMiami’s annual Miami International Map Fair is sure to ignite a little wanderlust in you. Check out antique maps, rare books and globes as nearly 40 of the most renowned map dealers from around the world showcase their collections. February 2 and 3

13. Peruse contemporary art at the eighth annual Art Wynwood, where more than 70 international galleries will come together to feature their best pieces. February 14 to 18

14Ever dream of owning your own boat? Same. Well, for now, ogle some of the most beautiful ones around at the annual International Boat Show at Miami Marine Stadium. February 14 to 18

15. Have one epic girls’ night by going to see Michael Bublé in concert. BYO tissues. February 15

16. Get your winter dose of art and culture at the Coconut Grove Arts Festival, where hundreds of artists and collectors will converge for gallery openings, showcases, culinary demos, interactive performances and more. February 16 to 18

20Marvel at the court skills of the world’s best tennis players (including Florida native Sloane Stephens) at the Miami Open. Mingle with pros, A-list celebs and thousands of locals and out-of-towners during the two-week event in Key Biscayne. March 18 to 31

21. Delicious local seafood, celebrity chef demos and live music—it’s all happening at the 14th annual Deering Seafood Festival, which will feature eats from Miami’s best, including Golden Rule Seafood and Don Camarón. March 25

22. Say goodbye to winter with Miami Music Week, which brings a slew of world-renowned DJs and musicians to the city’s clubs, concert halls and other venues (March 25 to 31). The week of performances also coincides with the 21st annual Ultra Music Festival (March 29 to 31).
