How to Style a ‘Pony-Hawk' Hairdo

Ponytails are great for an easy updo, but sometimes we like something with a bit more edge. Introducing the pony-hawk, a ponytail-mohawk hybrid that's much easier to do than it looks. Here's how to style the look yourself.

Step 1: Start with your hair in a ponytail puff at the crown of your head. Stretch your strands in the general pony-hawk shape you desire.

Step 2: Twist the edges of your hair down and in toward the center and secure in place with a hair pin. Work your way from the back toward the front, continuing to pull and shape your hair as you go.

Step 3: Give your hair one last tug to the front, make sure everything is securely in place and you're done!
