Sesame Street's cast of characters taught our kids how to do read and do "cookie math"—and they still put a big, ol' smile on our faces. Which is why we're jazzed about this news from the U.S. Postal Service: Sesame Street-themed forever stamps are coming.

While an exact release date is yet to be announced, we can expect these delightful snail mail additions within the 2019 calendar year. As no coincidence, the release is timed with the show's 50th anniversary. (We know, we feel old now, too.)

"The Postal Service honors Sesame Street as one of the most influential and beloved children’s television shows,"said USPS in a press release. The stamps will feature 16 of our favorite characters from Sesame Street: Big Bird, Ernie, Bert, Cookie Monster, Rosita, The Count, Oscar the Grouch, Abby Cadabby, Herry Monster, Julia, Guy Smiley, Snuffleupagus, Elmo, Telly, Grover and Zoe. (The whole crew!)

Suddenly, tackling that stack of outgoing mail doesn't seem so bad.
