Serena Williams’s Latest Post Proves She & Her Family Are Doing Just Fine After U.S. Open Loss

After suffering a devastating (and controversial) loss at the U.S. Open on Saturday, Serena Williams was ready to put the chaos behind her. So, she looked no further than her 1-year-old daughter, Alexis Olympia.

Williams headed home directly after losing the U.S. Open championship to Naomi Osaka and being fined $17,000 for code violations. There, she and husband Alexis Ohanian got in some quality time with little Olympia.

In a video the tennis star shared via Instagram Live, Olympia carried a baby doll wearing a tutu just like Williams’s and handed it to Ohanian. Williams can be heard cooing, “Sweetie, where you get those shoes from? Them shoes cute, girl.” (We have to agree, Olympia. Love ’em.)

After a whirlwind year of delivering her first child, fighting for her life, getting married and making her return to tennis, Williams put it all in perspective by spending her time with family. And you can’t beat that!
