We Definitely Missed This Big Celeb Cameo During the Battle of King's Landing in 'Game of Thrones' Episode 5

*Warning: Spoilers ahead*

Last night's fifth episode of Game of Thrones may have not been a touchdown, but at least it had a quarterback.

The surprise celeb appearance that you might've missed during the big Battle of King's Landing: Aaron Rodgers. The Green Bay Packers quarterback, who's been a longtime Thrones fan, confirmed his appearance in an Instagram post Sunday night.

The 35-year-old NFL MVP was reportedly a King's Landing citizen in a scene where he could be seen helping a woman up before Daenerys and Drogon start breathing fire all over the city. He then makes a run for his life, which can be seen in this video posted to Twitter.

The self-proclaimed "King of the North" teased the appearance last week when he said "Episode 5 should be good" on Twitter. The football star appeared in HBO's weekly making-of-the-episode video called “The Game Revealed."

"I was helping a woman who was injured, set her down, and then, the hell with her, I’m getting outta there,” Rodgers said, still in full costume and covered in fake blood.

Say what you want about Game of Thrones season eight, but one thing it's got going for it: the cameos. Season eight has included surprise appearances (or mentions of) musician Ed Sheeran, It's Always Sunny's Rob McElhenny, country singer Chris Stapleton and more.

But, like, will GoT ever get it together? Because the whole season is starting to feel like the writers called an "audible." (And, yes, we looked up that football term, thank you very much.)
