We put avocado in, well, pretty much everything, but whenever it comes time to bust out our chef’s knife to remove the pit, we get a teeny tiny bit nervous. (Sharp knife + bad aim = yikes.) This trick seems much safer…and easier, too.
What you need: An avocado and a corkscrew
What you do: After you halve the avocado, twist the corkscrew into the center of the avocado pit you’re trying to remove. As soon as it feels securely hooked in, pull out the pit.
Yay, no injuries! And you’re eating avocado? Today’s a good day.
