Burpees? Fartleks? Inchworms? Getting in shape shouldn't require learning a whole new language. Watch PureWow's fitness aficionado Alyssa ace this this super-simple, two-step leg workout that will get you ready for shorts season in no time.

Step 1: First up, squats. Start with your feet slightly more than shoulders' width apart. Lower your butt like you're sitting in a chair, keeping your back as straight as possible. Keep lowering until your thighs are parallel with the ground, but try not to let your knees go past your toes. Straighten back up by engaging your thighs, glutes and core.

Step 2: Combine forward and backward lunges for one awesome set of stems. Starting with your right foot, step forward and dip your legs down so that your right leg forms a 90-degree angle. Step back to the starting position, then backward with your right foot, this time making a 90-degree angle with your left leg. Next, repeat the whole thing starting with your left foot.
