Things we’ve waited in line for: Groceries, movie tickets, concerts, Cronuts. And as annoying as it is to wait any amount of time that isn’t one minute, we continue to put up with it because, come on…Cronuts.
But, according to a recent story in The New York Times, there’s a little trick that could make the line go a little faster. Per the article, the fastest line is usually the one that’s furthest left. Reason being, most people in the world are right-handed and therefore subconsciously favor things to the right—even lines.
So the next time you’re at Trader Joe’s and just want to get home and enjoy your cookie butter in peace, try speeding things up by queuing to the beat of your own drum in the left line.
