Wellness guru Latham Thomas wears many hats: Entrepreneur, best-selling author, birth doula and founder of the holistic lifestyle community Mama Glow. But all of these varied pursuits are tied by one common thread: a deep passion for helping women acclimate to motherhood with ease. From nutritional services to birth coaching to spiritual growth, Latham’s resources have guided pre- and postnatal mamas across the globe. As she succinctly puts it herself: “I’m on a quest to have women integrate self-care as a pathway to empowerment.” (Amen to that.) Get to know this maven on a mission.

On the life hack she swears by. “Take a nap! When we take naps, we create space for our dreams and allow the body to recover from the stresses of our day. If you’re too busy during the week to take an 8- to 20-minute nap, set aside some time on the weekend to find a nice, cozy resting space and put your legs up the wall for 20 minutes for a leg drain (it’s equivalent to a two-hour nap.)”
On the one piece of advice she’d give her 18-year-old self. “Mind your own business. Everyone has their own unique brand of magic—and you have your own. Focus on uncovering and cultivating your own gifts.”
On the proudest moment of her career. “Meeting Oprah and having her recognize my work is definitely a career highlight. To be listed as one of her Super Soul 100 was a deep honor.”
