During this scary and unpredictable time, one thing is certain: We’ve never worked harder to be present and live for the moment. Still, that can be hard to accomplish, which is why we’re lucky that Jay Shetty, a former monk turned meditation guru, is offering his services for free right now.
Beginning March 20, Shetty has been livestreaming daily meditations on his Facebook, Instagram and YouTube channels. Each session is just 20 minutes in length and there will be 20 sessions in total. (You can play catch-up for any sessions you’ve missed simply by checking out Shetty’s YouTube page.)
What to expect? Aside from Shetty’s signature calmness and good energy, he will give you the space you need to close your eyes, focus on daily affirmations and disconnect from the stress, pressure and force of the world swirling around you. We tested out the first session and almost immediately felt more centered and a little bit more ready to face the days—and emotions—that lie ahead.
As for the best time to tune in, Shetty will be livestreaming daily at 12:30 p.m. ET (9:30 a.m. PT). You can also follow his pages and sign up to receive notifications to ensure you don’t miss catching him in real time.
After all, putting one foot in front of the other starts with one very important thing: Deep breaths. (You’ve got this.)
