Anna Victoria’s New App Helps You Love Your Body
So…how are those New Year’s resolutions coming? If you’re like us, you’re feeling a teeny bit discouraged about your eating and exercise routine now that the novelty of a shiny new year has worn off. But great news: Fitness maven and PureWow Coterie member Anna Victoria just gave us an amazing tool to get through the winter slump and beyond.
It’s called Body Love, and it’s a customizable wellness app that radiates self-love and positivity (and let’s be honest, that’s exactly what we need right now). The program is broken down by week, and helps you stay on track with every aspect of your routine, including fitness, food and mindfulness.
Daily Exercise Plans
Anna (and her cheery, pastel leggings) guides us through a new, interactive exercise video every day—each targeting a different area of the body. Monday, it’s legs and glutes, then cardio and abs on Tuesday, back and arms on Wednesday, cardio and abs on Thursday, full body on Friday and cardio and abs on Saturday. Phew. (Of course, if that sounds like too much, that’s totally OK—you can start slow and ramp it up gradually to six days a week.)
Customizable Meal Templates
Ready to overhaul your eating plan? Body Love features a really cool tool that calculates the balance of macros (aka protein, carbs and fats) you need, depending on your height, weight and activity level. Then, it recommends a daily meal plan (breakfast, lunch, dinner and two snacks) based on the calculations. Today, we’re having a pesto veggie scramble for breakfast, a salmon balsamic salad for lunch and a turkey taco bowl for dinner. Even more awesome: There’s a version for vegetarians.
Mindfulness and Self-Care
Hands down, the best thing about this app: It’s all about positivity. If you’re having a tough day, watch an inspiring video about how to stay on track, or get centered with a mini-lesson about
