There’s a New Breast Pump You Can Use Without Taking Off Your Shirt
Great news for nursing moms everywhere
As any woman who has ever felt like a glorified cow in a freezing cold pumping room knows, expressing breast milk at work is kinda the worst.
Now there’s a company that’s trying to give it a bit more dignity. Enter: Freemies.
Freemies are essentially little collection cups ($60 a pair) that connect to a traditional electric pump, then discreetly slip inside your bra, allowing you to pump hands-free, with your shirt on. Each cup holds up to 8 ounces of milk, and when you’re done, you just remove them and pour the contents into a bottle.
“But won’t pointy plastic breast cups attached to medical-grade tubing make me look like some sort of Mad Men-era cyborg?” you ask. Well, maybe--especially if you’re wearing something tight. But compared with the whole bottles-hanging-off-your-boobs look, we have to think it’s a vast improvement.
