You’re running at a brisk pace, keys in your pocket as you crush that three-mile loop. But when you get home, you discover your keys are long gone, having flown out somewhere along the route.

This hack will save you from ever doing that again.

Step 1: Remove your house key from the ring. (Or make a spare one just for running.)

Step 2: Pull your sneaker laces out from the top eyelet and thread your key on the string so it’s nice and secure. 

Step 3: Thread the laces back through and double knot them.
