We see tons of gorgeous weddings here at PureWow—and the swankiest often feature one thing in common: Luxe little lounge areas, where guests can have a quick rest or drink away from the hubbub. Where do these brides find room in their budgets to rent, like, settees?, we often find ourselves wondering.
Well, our friend Jennifer Brisman (aka The Wedding Planner) is here to remind us all that this kind of next-level styling is totally DIY-able, and often at no extra cost.
After booking your venue, Brisman suggests checking out the furnishings in the foyers, nooks, hallways, etc., and then asking if you can use, rearrange and personalize with flowers, photos and other decorative elements. “If you want to take things one step further, hop on Etsy and source some great throws pillow that work with the look and feel of your wedding while upping the cozy factor,” she suggests.
