How to Use Your Phone Without Taking Off Your Gloves
Ugh, your sister’s calling
It’s 27 degrees outside. You’re prepared for it, thanks to your coat, hat, infinity scarf and gloves, but that’s always the moment your phone rings, sending you into a potentially chilling conundrum: Do you remove the only thing shielding your digits from frostbite…or press ignore? These genius tips have got you covered.
ANSWER YOUR PHONE WITH YOUR NOSE
This trick is as simple as it sounds: Use the tip of your nose to swipe right to answer the call. So what if you get a few weird looks? People are just jealous of your #noseskills.
YOU CAN ALSO USE YOUR EARBUDS
Before you head outdoors, plug your Apple earbuds into your iPhone, pop the device in your pocket and throw on your gloves and hat. When your phone rings, simply press the middle button (located right between the “+” and “-” keys) to pick up the call, then press it again to hang up.
TO SEND A TEXT, TRY SIRI
Speaking of your earbuds, did you know you can activate Siri simply by pressing that middle button and holding it down for a few seconds? Or, if you don’t want to rely on your earbuds, all you have to do is press the home button to get her attention. Tell her you’d like to “Text Mom.” She’ll open up a new screen, at which point you can dictate your text and tell her to send it. No hands required.
