A Trash Can That Vacuums and Sends You Text Messages
If you’ve ever looked at your trash can and thought, Trash can, I really wish you did more, then we’ve got good news.
Meet Bruno, the world’s first “smart” garbage can.
Here’s the deal: Bruno is a Wi-Fi-enabled bin that links up with your smartphone. He’ll send you push notifications when he’s getting full, when it’s time to put the garbage out for collection and when he’s running low on trash bags. He also has a powerful vortex vacuum at his base and can suck up any crumbs you accidentally spill when cleaning off the cutting board. In other words, he’s like your neat-freak, nudging mother in plastic robot form.
As with all good things in life, Bruno is currently in preorder. When he hits the market this fall, he’ll cost $229, but you can claim him now on Kickstarter for a mere $139.
We can hardly wait for all of his future smart-appliance brethren: Tina, the talking toaster, and Ralph, the wireless garbage disposal.
