M&M’S Melting Snowman Cookies

By: Rachel Gulmi
Published: November 27, 2019

OK, we’re going to come right out and say it: These are hands down the most adorable holiday cookies we’ve ever seen. Plain sugar cookies are turned into a pile of melting snowmen using royal icing, marshmallows, M&M’S® Chocolate Holiday Candies and some sprinkles. Tip: If you use pre-made sugar cookies, all you’ll have to do is assemble your snowmen.

Ingredients

2 cups royal icing

Black gel food color

12 round sugar cookies

12 marshmallows

M&M’S® Chocolate Holiday Candies

Long orange sprinkles

Directions

1. Dye ½ cup of the icing black with the black food coloring. Once you reach your desired shade of black, thin the icing to a thick but pipeable consistency. Pour into a piping bag and snip off a small tip.

2. Using a small spatula, frost the cookies with white icing.

3. Decorate the marshmallows by piping on eyes and a surprised “O” for a mouth and adding a sprinkle nose. Immediately add a marshmallow toward the top of each cookie.

4. Add Holiday M&M’S® Chocolate Holiday Candies and then pipe black stick arms “floating” out away from the head while the icing is still wet.
