In this artisanal twist on the traditional Moscow Mule, replace ginger ale with California-made syrup, bitters and candied fruit available at the Cocktail Lab.

Makes 1 serving

2 ounces premium vodka

1 ounce Liquid Alchemist ginger syrup

10 drops Napa Valley Grapefruit Bitters

4 ounces soda water

1 lime wedge

1 piece Cocktail Lab candied ginger

1. Shake the vodka and ginger syrup over ice to chill. Add the bitters and soda water, gently stir and strain into an ice-filled copper mug or highball glass.

2. Squeeze the lime wedge and toss in, then garnish with one piece of candied ginger.
