Oil-Balancing Mayo Mask
Adina Grigores Oil-Balancing Mayo Mask Adina Grigore

In Adina Grigore’s new book, Skin Cleanse: The Simple, All-Natural Program for Clear, Calm, Happy Skinthe S.W. Basic’s founder teaches us how to reboot our skin-care routine using items found right in our pantry. In light of the transitioning season, Grigore has given us a recipe she claims is perfect for sloughing off dead skin, regulating oil production and keeping us moisturized. If the idea of putting mayonnaise on your skin skeeves you out, don't worry--Adina suggests using organic (or homemade mayo) and mixing it with citrus for a refreshing scent.

Makes 3 Face Masks

1 tablespoon homemade mayonnaise (or

store-bought organic mayo

1 tablespoon fresh orange juice

2 tablespoons corn flour

1. In a small bowl, slowly stir together all three ingredients, making sure to fully incorporate the corn flour into the wet ingredients.

2. For best results, apply with fingers and let dry. The corn wil notl dissolve into in the solution and will be a bit grainy, so be very gentle when applying.

3. This recipe will make about three applications, but it will spoil quickly. Store it in the fridge in a sealed container and use within a few days.
