NEW YORK – November 1, 2012 – PureWow, the premier women's lifestyle digital publication, launched its second content-specific edition today with PureWow Books & Authors, a weekly guide to what’s new in the world of reading. The edition covers interesting and under-the-radar book titles and will also feature author Q&As, gift ideas and tech apps and tools for readers.

“Since the early days of PureWow, our book content has always been one of the most-shared and most-read categories with our audience,” said Ryan Harwood, CEO of PureWow. “Readers write in asking for more book recommendations constantly and we’re happy to be a source for women on the web for unique book finds.”

Books & Authors is PureWow’s second vertical edition after PureWow Recipes debuted in November 2011. Both editions allow influential women everywhere to get unique recommendations that make life easier and more fun. As always, PureWow’s recommendations are based on first-hand experiences from editors who work tirelessly to find, test and share the content women care about most.

“Our goal with Books & Authors is to provide readers with exciting ideas they can use and share with book clubs, friends and family,” said Jillian Quint, managing editor of PureWow. “We know reading can often be a treasured escape for many women so we’re doing the work to find the best, most compelling books our subscribers might not know about otherwise.”
