You know how Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott met while filming Carpool Karaoke? Well, we finally have video footage of their legendary meet cute.
Over the weekend, Apple TV debuted a brand-new teaser for Carpool Karaoke: The Series, which features the first time the New Girl star, 40, met her now-boyfriend, 41.
In this particular segment, Deschanel and her sister, Emily, challenge Scott and his brother, Drew, to a sibling rivalry karaoke session.
Prior to Carpool Karaoke, the Deschanel sisters had never met the Property Brothers stars. Still, that didn’t stop them from belting everything from “…Baby One More Time” to “Baby, It’s Cold Outside,” which is the same song that Deschanel sang in Elf.
We first learned about Deschanel and Scott’s relationship back in September 2019 when they were photographed holding hands as they arrived at Little Dom’s restaurant in Silverlake, California. Shortly after, a source confirmed that the pair hit it off while filming Carpool Karaoke. Things eventually turned romantic, and well, you get the idea.
“They were doing Carpool Karaoke and they had a really fun day,” the source told People magazine. “They became friends after and then started talking as friends and realized there was more to it.”
Shout-out to James Corden, who is probably adding “matchmaking” to his already extensive resume.
