It appears gold was the theme of the 2020 BAFTAS. Not only did Kate Middleton stun in a crème and gold Alexander McQueen number, but Zoë Kravitz also dazzled in a slinky gold gown for the awards show.

Channeling an Oscars statuette, the 31-year-old Big Little Lies star opted for a resplendent Saint Laurent long-sleeve column gown from the fall 2020 collection. It was sleek, it was chic, it was a hit on the carpet and on the internet.

Following Kravitz’s walk down the carpet, fans flocked to Twitter to applaud her look. Twitter user @Shannysland kept it short and sweet.

Others, like Shay M, praised her look more verbosely and called it “perfection.” Preach.

The only potentially tricky part of Kravitz’s dress was that it looked a little tough to walk in. Thankfully, a photo shared by Saint Laurent creative director Anthony Vaccarello revealed that the frock included a slit in the back that made the lamé fabric move quite beautifully and walking a lot easier.

Kravitz let her metallic dress shine on the red carpet and kept her accessories low-key. She opted for black heeled Saint Laurent sandals ($725) and the Assael Heart’s Desire Sardinian coral and diamond earrings and rings. Did we mention her jewels matched her red pout (the handy work of celebrity makeup artist Nina Park) and nails (courtesy of celebrity manicurist Ama Quashie) flawlessly?

If you’re feeling Kravitz’s red coral jewelry, you can always replicate the look with Assael’s platinum, pearl and jade clip on earrings, which cost a casual $18,000. We’d suggest the more sensible $84 LeLe Sadoughi bubble drop earrings, though.

What’s gold, red and probably going down in BAFTAs fashion history? Why, Zoë Kravitz’s look, of course.
