Zendaya's Pink Tom Ford Breastplate Is Gwyneth Paltrow-Approved

Zendaya just attended her first awards show of the season and boy, did she show up.

The Euphoria actress stepped onto the Critics' Choice Awards red carpet last night in a jaw-dropping hot pink ensemble by Tom Ford. She paired the look with long braids that fell down past her waist.

The show-stopping outfit (which appeared on Tom Ford's Spring 2020 runway) featured an asymmetrical fuchsia breastplate complete with back straps and a maxi skirt to match. See her look below.

According to her stylists, Law Roach, and Shrimpton Couture founder, Cherie Balch, the Tom Ford top is a nod to the vintage, colored breastplates previously designed by Issey Miyake and Yves Saint Laurent. Roach referred to the 23-year-old star as a “Warrior Woman” in one post on Instagram.

And her stylists weren’t the only ones who commented Zendaya on social media. Actress Gwyneth Paltrow left a comment on a photo of the actress. “Thank God I can say I have something in common with Zendaya,” she wrote in reference to their same sense of style.

Yup, the Goop founder rocked the shielded top on her February 2020 Harper's BAZAAR cover.

Bravo, ladies. Two warrior women, indeed.
