The first-look photo of young Newt Scamander (Joshua Shea) has arrived (via owl, of course), and he’s a dead ringer for his elder counterpart (Eddie Redmayne).

When we first caught a glimpse of Newt and young Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) at Hogwarts in the latest pic from the Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald set, it took a moment for our brain to compute, TBH. Did Redmayne get a lot of Botox, we wondered? Nope, it’s just damn good casting. See for yourself.

Newt and Dumbledore appear bewildered (can’t do that with Botox) by something off-camera in the photo. Now, any Harry Potter universe fan worth their salt floo powder knows Newt was expelled from Hogwarts for “endangering a human life” during an incident with a magical beast (thanks for the tip, Percival Graves). Chances are this is that scene.

Alas, we’ll have to wait and see, when Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald hits theaters on November 16.
