Yesterday, the Wonder Woman star, 33, posted a photo on her Instagram Story celebrating the success of Captain Marvel. The pic features an illustration of Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel linking arms with the caption, “I’m so happy for you sister! Congrats.”
The fan art was created by Maxy Artwork, a 17-year-old artist who designed the piece in honor of the female-driven films.
“I make this kind of art to bring women together and show how important female leads are for us,” the artist wrote on Instagram.
Gadot’s post comes just four days after Captain Marvel hit theaters. The film raked in a whopping $455 million at the box office during the first weekend, making it the sixth largest movie opening of all time. NBD.
