A modern love story: when Amazon met Whole Foods. The two quietly began what’s sure to be a fruitful (get it?) relationship, and the Amazon Prime Day deals are just the beginning.
Starting today until July 17, when Prime members spend at least $10 at Whole Foods, they’ll get a $10 gift card to use on Amazon during Prime Day, which will be 36 hours of sales starting on July 16…so they’re basically giving away money.
Amazon Prime Rewards Visa cardholders will also get double cash back (10 percent) on all Whole Foods purchases between July 14 and 17. Also, the grocery chain announced seasonal deals like big savings on organic strawberries (two for $5), boneless chicken breasts (40 percent off), wild-caught cod fillets ($9 perpound), BOGO bagged coffee and Cheerios and more in honor of the big day.
The online retailer is also offering major discounts on clothing from now ’til Prime Day via its Amazon Fashion arm, so there’s really no excuse to let it pass you by without cashing in on all the savings.
Will these deals be enough to motivate us to actually link our Prime account the next time we’re at our neighborhood Whole Foods? Only time will tell.
