Party On: A ‘Wayne’s World’ Revival Just Happened Onstage at the Oscars

Wayne and Garth are most certainly partying on, you guys.

Wayne’s World stars Mike Myers and Dana Carvey reunited onstage at the 91st annual Academy Awards and quoted one of our favorite lines from the nearly three-decades-old comedy: “If you spew, I’ll blow chunks.”

The actors who played Wayne Campbell and Garth Algar in several SNL skits and two feature films were onstage to present a clip of Best Picture nominee Bohemian Rhapsody. The duo famously lip-synced Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” in the first Wayne’s World movie, which propelled the song to No. 2 on the Hot 100 chart after the movie’s release. When the song came out 17 years before, it occupied the No. 9 spot on the charts,  according to Entertainment Weekly.

Myers even teased a revival of the film as an animated reboot while on the Oscars red carpet. He said if the fans want to see it, “of course we’ll do it.”

Excellent news, you guys. Excellent.
