We Finally Have a First Look at the New Characters for ‘Virgin River’ Season 3

Fans have been waiting patiently for more information about Virgin River season three. Luckily, it seems like details are finally starting to trickle out, including what new faces we can expect.

On Tuesday, the show’s official Instagram account gave followers a peek at two new characters for season three. The slideshow featured an image of actress Stacey Farber, who plays Lilly's daughter, Tara, followed by a pic of Kal Bradbury as Denny, a 24-year-old who has served in the Marines and comes to Virgin River to find his biological father.

“Special Announcement Season 3,” the post’s caption read. “Tara (Lilly's daughter) and Denny will be visiting us in Virgin River." The new season is also bringing in another recurring character: Zibby Allen (Grey’s Anatomy) who will play Jack’s sister, Brie.

In addition to the newcomers, a handful of stars have signed on to reprise their roles, including Alexandra Breckenridge (Melinda), Colin Lawrence (John “Preacher” Middleton), Jenny Cooper (Joey Barnes), Lauren Hammersley (Charmaine Roberts), Annette O’Toole (Hope McCrea) and Tim Matheson (Vernon). And we’re hoping season two newbie, Melinda Dahl, will also continue her time as Mel’s sister-in-law, Staci.

As for the plot, little is still known about what to expect from the third installment. However, if you are looking for more info about where the series could be headed, we recommend reading the books by Robyn Carr which inspired the show. Fair warning, the series tends to deviate from the novels.

The premiere date for season three of Virgin River has yet to be announced, so no word on when we’ll actually get to see these newcomers on screen.
