Netflix Is Rebooting ‘Unsolved Mysteries’ & Be Still Our True-Crime-Loving Hearts

If you’re a true-crime fan, then get ready to watch even more Netflix.

The streaming service announced today that it’s rebooting the iconic Unsolved Mysteries series with Stranger Things executive producer Shawn Levy at the helm.

The revival series will use re-enactments and a docuseries format to explore, as the title suggests, unsolved mysteries, crimes and inexplicable paranormal occurrences. Like the original show, which ran from 1987 to 2010, each episode will focus on a single mystery.

Terry Dunn Meurer, one of the original series’ creators, and Robert Wise will serve as showrunners on the 12-part series. In addition to Dunn Meurer, original Unsolved Mysteries creator John Cosgrove will executive produce alongside Levy and Josh Barry.

Welp, whoever replaces host Robert Stack has big shoes to fill.
