The 45th Annual American Music Awards are right around the corner, and if this year’s lineup is any indication, it’s going to be one for the books. Here’s what we know so far.
ABC announced today that Tracee Ellis Ross will host the show at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 19. While this isn’t Ross’s first hosting gig (she hosted the BET Awards in 2015 and 2016), it will probably be her most memorable, considering her mother, Diana Ross, is set to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Blackish star couldn’t be happier to host the music industry’s annual celebration. She said, “I am thrilled to host this special night which honors some of the greatest musical talents in our industry. And I’m especially thrilled to host this year when my mother is receiving the American Music Award for Lifetime Achievement.”
The AMAs will also feature musical performances from Kelly Clarkson, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Niall Horan, Lady Gaga, Nick Jonas, Shawn Mendes, Christina Aguilera, Pink and, of course, Diana Ross.
The family affair 2017 American Music Awards airs on November 19 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
