Tom Daley just offered fans a new glimpse into his parenthood journey, complete with never-before-seen snaps of his son, Robert Ray.
In his Instagram Story, the Olympic athlete posted rare pics of his two-year-old son as they spent some quality time together.
The first pic features Robert playing outdoors in a chic hat and stylish plaid jacket (AKA one of the trendiest toddler outfits we've seen this season). And in the second, we spy that his father is also matching in plaid. Robert is sporting a navy teddy bear hat as he enjoys his tricycle ride.
But the fun didn't end there. The father-son duo also bonded while working on an arts and crafts project, which involved some Halloween-themed cut outs and whole lot of paint.
Daley and his husband, Dustin Lance Black, welcomed their son via surrogate in June of 2018. In a 2019 interview with Heart Radio Network, Daley explained why he chooses not to show his son's face on social media. He said, "There’s many reasons really. There’s lots of people in our family, because we’re spread across the world, there’s lots of people that haven’t met him yet, and we want to be able for him to meet those friends and family members in person. That might change in the future, but for right now, we wanted to enjoy the first year with him."
The diver also revealed how becoming a father has changed him. He added, "Before Robbie was around I would come home and be thinking about diving and all the things that I could have done better. When I get home now, there’s this little face with his hands reaching towards me, and I’m instantly taken away from the diving pool."
What a lucky kid!
