Remember when we learned Timothée Chalamet was singlée, having broken up with his girlfriend of one year and The King co-star Lily-Rose Depp? It feels like ages ago, but we only discovered that news in April.
Two months later, it at least appears he’s moved on, after being spotted getting smoochy with actress Eiza González in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. We have many questions, but first among them is: Who is she?
The 30-year-old actress and singer got her first big break starring in the Mexican teen musical telenovela Lola, érase una vez in 2008. Since then, she’s had roles in films like Jem and the Holograms, Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw and most notably, Baby Driver, in which she starred as Monica “Darling” Castello alongside Ansel Elgort and Jon Hamm. She’ll also star in the upcoming films Bloodshot, Cut Throat City and Godzilla vs. Kong.
González also has two Latin-pop studio albums, Contracorriente and Te Acordarás de Mí. Her mother is Glenda Reyna, a former model and founder of the Glenda Modeling Training agency.
González also briefly dated Josh Duhamel in 2018.
We wouldn’t want to assume anything, of course, but the fact that Timmy and Eiza were kissing signals that they’re *at least* more than just friends. (Unless it’s now normal for “just friends” to smooch; we don’t actually know what’s normal these days.) The last time Chalamet was caught kissing on camera, it was with his previous girlfriend. (It also became a widely circulated internet meme, but we digress.)
With all that in mind, plus the fact that you have to be pretty selective about who you’re locking lips with in the midst of a global pandemic, we’re about 87 percent sure Chalamet and González are a thing.
Other than the fact that Timmy was strumming a guitar while poolside? Nope. This is the first time Chalamet and González have been seen together. Only time (and a whole lot of Instagram trolling) will tell.
