Netflix Is Dropping a ‘Tiger King’ Bonus Episode Hosted by Joel McHale

Can’t get enough of Netflix’s Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness? Well (good news!), the streaming service is blessing us cool cats and kittens with an all-new bonus episode hosted by Joel McHale.

Jeff Lowe recently shared the news during a special shout-out video for Justin Turner (who plays for the Los Angeles Dodgers) and his wife, Kourtney Pogue. The Tiger King star began by thanking the couple for their support, saying, “Hey, Kourtney and Justin, this is Jeff Lowe from the Tiger King show on Netflix.”

Lowe (who currently owns Joe Exotic’s former zoo) proceeded to drop the bombshell, and we can’t help but wonder if Netflix condoned his now-confirmed spoiler. “Netflix is adding one more episode…will be on next week,” he added. “We’re filming here tomorrow.”

A few days later, Deadline confirmed that Netflix is dropping Tiger King and I on April 12. The after-show will be hosted by McHale and will double as the eighth episode of the documentary series. It will feature brand-new interviews with John Reinke, Joshua Dial, John Finlay, Saff, Erik Cowie, Rick Kirkman and Jeff and Lauren Lowe.

This is wild news for Tiger King fans—not only is the docuseries extremely binge-worthy, but there’s also more to the story. Even executive producer Rebecca Chaiklin previously revealed that Netflix was exploring the possibility of developing more episodes.

“I mean, yes we have a crazy amount of footage, and it’s a story that’s still unfolding,” she added. “We’re not sure yet, but there could be a follow-up on this story because there’s a lot that’s still unfolding in it, and it’ll be just as dramatic and just as colorful as what has unfolded these past few years.”
