Country singer Thomas Rhett is officially outnumbered on the home front by three beautiful ladies! He and his wife, Lauren Akins, welcomed a baby girl, Ada James Akins, on Saturday, August 12.
Rhett announced his newborn daughter's arrival on Instagram with a precious photo of baby girl Ada James comfortably nestled between her beaming mom and dad. He captioned the post, “Last night at 10:28 PM Ada James Akins was born and it was truly the most amazing thing I have ever experienced. I can't believe that we have two daughters!!”
Rhett and Akins, who married in 2012, first expanded their family earlier this year in May when they adopted their one-year-old daughter, Willa Gray Akins, from Uganda.
The proud new papa and loving husband went on to express his appreciation for wife Laura's intense 36-hour labor, writing, “My wife @laur_akins labored almost 36 hours. She is by far the strongest human being I have ever met and I have a newfound respect for moms around the world. We are so excited that Willa Gray has a baby sister! Thank you Lord and everyone for the prayers #outnumbered.”
Congratulations to the growing family! Rhett may be outnumbered, but at least he can die a happy man.
