Earlier today, This Is Us teased its highly anticipated second season with a brand-new, ugly-cry-inducing trailer that's just as sweet as (if not sweeter than) Baby Randall.
From a man who recently connected with his biological father to a woman grateful for the show's exploration of Kate's subtle insecurities, the trailer features poignant stories from fans speaking their truths about how the show touched their lives. Each viewer's testimony cuts to the core. Actors Mandy Moore, Chrissy Metz, Milo Ventimiglia and Sterling K. Brown watched off-screen, visibly moved, while their fans explained their personal and emotional connections to the show.
This Is Us gives fans the courage to reach out to their absentee father, tackle grief head on and be proud of who they are. The emotional season two trailer viewing numbers have yet to be reported, but as Brown says in the trailer's voiceover, the season one premiere trailer made history when it became the most watched TV trailer in the history of Facebook (whoa).
The season two trailer release comes on the tail of NBC's decision to move the show to Thursdays at 9 p.m. Much to our dismay, the network has yet to release the new season's premiere date.
Until then, we'll be working on our ugly cry.
