Did ‘This Is Us’ Just Get a New Big Three?

From infancy to middle age, we’ve seen the This Is Us Big Three at nearly every stage of their lives. And in the upcoming fourth season, it looks like we’ll watch them grow through a whole other time period: preschool.

Earlier this week, series creator Dan Fogelman shared a photo on Twitter of miniature versions of the Big Three, aka Kate (Chrissy Metz), Kevin (Justin Hartley) and Randall (Sterling K. Brown). Needless to say, they’re pretty damn cute.

In the photo, preschool-aged versions of the This Is Us actors pose together and smile their baby teeth smiles. Little Kate is even holding a stuffed animal.

Fogelman expressed our thoughts exactly and captioned the photo, “I am dead. #ThisIsUs.”

This new trio of kiddos isn’t the first bunch to play younger versions of the Big Three. We’ve also seen Kate, Kevin and Randall portrayed as babies, as pre-teens played by Mackenzie Hancsicsak (Kate), Parker Bates (Kevin) and Lonnie Chavis (Randall) and teenagers played by Hannah Zeile (Kate), Logan Shroyer (Kevin) and Niles Fitch (Randall).

This Is Us has yet to confirm the tiny actors’ names or reveal any details about their story line, but we can’t wait to gain insight into Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) and Rebecca’s (Mandy Moore) experience raising young children who are first starting out at school.

When Fogelman revealed that Jack will have a smaller role in the forthcoming season, we were bummed. But now we have these little faces to cheer us up.

This Is Us returns to NBC on Tuesday, September 24 at 9 p.m.
