When meeting Prince William and Kate Middleton for the first time, Alfie, a 6-year-old Goldendoodle, clearly took a liking to one royal over the other. The adorable photos tweeted by Kensington Royal show him in the arms of both royals with the caption, "Who do you think Alfie, the therapy dog preferred?"
In the first picture, Alfie seems to be a bit preoccupied with escaping the arms of Prince William, who has a soft smile on his face as he looks down at the squirming dog. Kate looks on at the finicky pup with a sweet smile as she scratches his head.
In the second photograph, however, Alfie cannot get enough of the duchess, who is also shown looking lovingly down at Alfie with a genuine smile while the dog leans in toward her face for more affection. Prince William, on the other hand, seems to find Alfie's preference to be quite amusing as he laughs at the interaction and reaches over to pet the dog.
People were quick to flood the replies with their personal stances on the matter. One replied, "Sorry PW, but clearly Alfie is trying to snuggle with the DOC and look her way while in your arms." Another commented, "[Alfie] is clearly Team Kate. Maybe next time?"
As for the winner of the Alfie's affection, they say a picture is worth a thousand words...
