Grammy Award-winning Ruff Ryder Eve Jeffers Cooper (aka Eve) has officially been named Aisha Tyler’s successor on CBS’s The Talk.
Eve made her debut as a full-time host on today’s episode of the daytime talk show alongside fellow hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood.
This past June, Tyler ended her six-year run on The Talk to pursue other projects, forcing CBS to desperately search for a worthy replacement. Although Eve currently resides in London, the rapper turned actress says she couldn’t turn down the opportunity, even if it meant moving across the pond to The Talk’s homeland (Los Angeles).
“It is a new career move for me. I am interested in hosting, and specifically on this show, because I feel as though I can express myself in a way people haven’t seen me before, and be able to engage in great discussions [and] have some fun. I’m just in a place in my life where I was looking for a platform to express myself,” she told Variety.
This is going to be good. The Talk airs weekdays on CBS at 2 p.m. ET and 1 p.m. PT/CT.
