Cue the Inappropriate Jokes: ‘The Office’ Revival Is in the Works at NBC

It’s been four years since Michael Scott recited his final “That’s what she said” joke on The Office. But the Dunder Mifflin gang (and their hilarious shenanigans) may return to the small screen for an all-new revival.

NBC is in talks to produce a reboot of the hit sitcom for the 2018-2019 season, according to reports.

But there’s a caveat. Steve Carell (Scott) will not revive his iconic role. Although NBC is reportedly searching for a worthy replacement, we do know the spin-off will include a mix of new and familiar employees working at the Scranton, Pennsylvania, branch we all know and love.

Back in August, NBC president Bob Greenblatt hinted at a possible reboot of The Office due to the positive response from the Will & Grace revival. He said, “We often talk about The Office. I’ve talked to Greg [Daniels] four times over the past few years. It’s always, ‘Maybe some day, but not now.’”

It appears that day has come, and We. Can’t. Wait.
