If you haven’t been able to get “City of Stars” out of your head since, oh, last December, then get your jazz hands ready because La La Land writer and director Damien Chazelle has another musical up his talented sleeve.
Chazelle is partnering with Netflix to bring a musical drama series called The Eddy to the small screen, Variety reports. The exciting new project is set in contemporary Paris and predominantly takes place in a music club, where we’ll dissect the lives of the owner, the house band and the city that surrounds them. Très magnifique!
The Eddy marks Chazelle’s first foray into television. The Oscar-winning director will helm the first two episodes of the eight-episode series and will also executive produce the show in its entirety.
Lauded writer Jack Thorne (National Treasure) is penning the script, and six-time Grammy Award-winning composer Glen Ballard (Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill) is writing the original score.
We'll be here practicing our scales and patiently waiting for Ryan Gosling to announce his starring role...
