‘The Bachelor’ Is Creating a Dating Show for Senior Citizens & It’s About Time

While we’re just a week away from Peter Weber giving away his last rose, The Bachelor is already casting for the next season...with a twist.

During Monday’s episode, viewers were given the usual casting call except it looks like ABC franchise is ready to cater to an older audience. They asked for "seniors looking for love," so now the 65+ set can try their shot at love.

Whether you’re applying yourself or nominating someone, there’s now an application on their site under ‘New Senior Dating Show.’ The open ad reads, "Are you entering your golden years and looking for romance?" with a cheesy sunset photo of an older couple.

The application includes about 60 questions such as basic information (name, where you’re from, occupation, to name a few), any reality tv experience and family history including any past relationships. Hopeful cast members should also include recent photos and a video to get a better chance of being picked.

"Everybody deserves love right?" Chris Harrison said when asked by TMZ about the casting call. "It’s the number one thing I get asked about doing the show, ‘When are you going to do an older version of The Bachelor?’"

There are no other details about the senior citizen reality show, but fingers-crossed we see a former Bachelor/Bachelorette contestant’s grandparent in the mix.
