Taylor Swift just gave her mother (and Swifties everywhere) a sweet gift on Mother’s Day.
The "ME!" singer posted a never-before-seen throwback video to pay tribute to her mother, Andrea. She shared the cute moment on her Instagram and is anyone else as obsessed with baby Taylor’s hair as we are?
She captioned the post, "My conversations with my mom have always been and will always be some of my favorite memories–from when I was 10 months old in this video from October 1990 to now talking every day on the phone. Our talks are everything to me. Myyyyyyyy goodness I love you, Mom. Happy Mother’s Day. PS for those of you who are separated from your loved ones or struggling with this day, my heart is with you."
The video starts with Swift’s mother asking her to count for her before baby Taylor jumps in with one, three and five (we guess she had a thing for odd numbers...). Andrea cheers for her daughter as the "The Man" singer starts chewing on her shoelaces. Naturally, Swift and her mom then turn to vocab skills, and it looks like the Grammy-award winning artist has had a way with words even since childhood.
This isn’t the first time the star has paid tribute to her mother. She performed "Soon You'll Get Better" during the One World: Together At Home special, which has significant meaning for her. She opened up about the emotional song, which she wrote following Andrea's cancer diagnosis.
"Everyone loves their mom, everyone’s got an important mom," she told Variety. "But for me, she’s really the guiding force. Almost every decision I make, I talk to her first. So obviously it was a really big deal to speak about her illness."
We love to see this meaningful bond between the mother-daughter duo has always been present.
