Taylor Swift Releases First Trailer for Her Netflix Documentary ‘Miss Americana’

Calling all Swifties: We finally have a first look at Taylor Swift’s Netflix documentary, Miss Americana.

On Wednesday, the 30-year-old singer released a clip of the Sundance Festival-featured film on her Instagram.

“It’s been a long time coming,” she captioned the post.

In the two-minute video, we see behind-the-scenes footage of the pop star on tour, in the studio and at her family home. “Throughout my career, label executives say a nice girl doesn’t force their opinions on people,” Swift says during an on-screen interview. “I had to deconstruct an entire belief system, toss it out and reject it.”

The clip also features a montage of negative press Swift has received over the years, including commentary on her appearance, her friends and her dating life. And it looks like we’re going to get finally a glimpse of Swift’s personal life and beliefs.

“I feel really good about not feeling muzzled anymore,” she says. “And it was my own doing.” We have a feeling we’re going to need to break out the tissues for this one.

Watch the full trailer above and catch Miss Americana in select theaters and on Netflix on January 31.
