Stranger Things fans, prepare for a Demogorgon-sized letdown.

David Harbour, who plays Chief Jim Hopper on the hit Netflix series, just revealed that it’s going to be a long while until season three drops because creators Ross and Matt Duffer are still working on the scripts. Ugh.

Hawkins’s main authority told Variety, “I mean, one of the things that’s annoying for fans is that it takes us a long time to do them. Like, you probably won’t get [season three] until sometime in 2019. But also part of the thing is, like any good thing, they need time. And those guys work so hard. I mean, they just sit in their apartment and write for 12, 14 hours a day.”

Ross and Matt Duffer: We get that you’re tired, but if you’re reading this, please hurry…and send some Eggos our way while you’re at it.
