Netflix released the new trailer for season two of Stranger Things at San Diego Comic-Con, and it's all sorts of terrifying.
Will Byers is back from the Upside Down and has seemingly recovered from vomiting a live slug (gross) in the season one finale, but not everything is coming up slugs roses in Hawkins.
In the trailer’s opening scene, the boys are playing a spirited game of “Dragon’s Lair” when Will has a terrible, debilitating flashback of the Upside Down. Suddenly everyone is gone, the town is in shambles and an enormous monster is headed straight toward him. Alas, he’s just hallucinating, but as the trailer continues, it becomes abundantly clear that the Upside Down and the real world are no longer starkly black and white.
Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” fittingly plays in the background as we see Hawkins residents struggling to cope with their town’s new normal. On top of Will’s increasingly strange behavior, the townspeople must now walk around armed and wary of any slime-covered surfaces. Oh, and Eleven is alive but she's stuck in the Upside Down. Hopefully not for long...
Stranger Things season two premieres on Netflix October 27, just in time for some spooky Halloween binge-watching.
