These ‘Stranger Things’ Cast Members Reunited in Real Life (and We’re In Our Feels)

*Warning: Spoilers ahead*

Prepare to see one of the most iconic Stranger Things mini-reunions to ever grace your Twitter feed (and no, we’re not kidding).

Actress Grace Van Dien (who played Chrissy Cunningham) recently posted a selfie with none other than Joseph Quinn (Eddie Munson). In the black-and-white snapshot, the two appeared to be all smiles as they shared a tight embrace.

Van Dien wrote in the caption, “Hellcheer says hi from our lunch break 👋🏻.”

The photo must have been taken while both actors attended Fan Expo Canada last month. (Other Stranger Things cast members were also there.)

Van Dien’s character is first introduced in season four. Chrissy is a popular cheerleader who attends Hawkins High and becomes the first victim of Vecna. Chrissy and Eddie have a brief moment together in the woods, as they reminisce about their *very* short interaction in middle school.

Though—spoiler alert!—Chrissy is killed by Vecna in episode one, fans started shipping the pair due to their strong chemistry in that particular scene. In fact, viewers created the couple name “Hellcheer,” which is a reference to Chrissy being a cheerleader and Eddie being the leader of The Hellfire Club.

In an exclusive interview with TVLine, the Duffer Brothers revealed that they regret killing off Chrissy in the first episode. The show’s creators shared that they filmed the forest scene after Chrissy’s death was already captured on camera.

“We always have those moments [of ‘What have we done?’],” Matt told the outlet. “The scene came alive in a way that was just so beautiful. And so much of that was Joe and Grace.”
