Let's be honest: There are two types of people in this world. You're either one of the early birds waiting in line for stores to open at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, or you try to avoid any sort of shopping commitment for the entire months of November, December and early January (no thanks, returns lines).
Whichever you are, you'll probably be at least a little surprised to hear many stores aren't opening their doors at all the day before Black Friday (also known as Thanksgiving for the shopaholics among us).
This year, over 55 major retailers have decided not to open up early for those late-night deals, and instead leave the price-slashing madness for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Included in the list: Costco, Burlington, Home Depot, Ikea, TJ Maxx and more.
Guess we'll all just have to sit through another round of relationship questions from our Great Aunt Marge this Thanksgiving, after all.
