When the opportunity arises to share a worthy cause, we just can’t pass it up. Case in point: Stand Up to Cancer, which brings together celebs and entertainers to raise cancer awareness, along with funds for groundbreaking research.
This year is especially significant for the foundation, as it marks the tenth (!) anniversary of its first-ever live broadcast fundraiser.
In honor of the occasion, a two-part fundraiser will air this Friday, September 7. At 7 p.m. EST, Max Greenfield, Tyler Posey and Brenda Song will kick off the evening with a “Digital Live Show” simultaneously streamed across Facebook, YouTube and Twitter. The "#Up2Us" event will feature cancer survivors, red carpet footage and the talents of celebrities like Uzo Aduba, Beth Behrs and Ken Jeong.
The live telecast follows at 8 p.m. EST, and of course, it will be nothing short of star-studded. The laundry list of this year’s attendees includes Mahershala Ali, Kathy Bates, Katie Couric, Jennifer Garner, Ed Helms, Tony Hale, Matthew McConaughey, Maria Menounos, Trevor Noah, Keith Urban and Reese Witherspoon—among others. 100 percent of donations go toward SU2C’s cancer research programs (and you can donate here).
You’ll be able to stream the digital show from Stand Up to Cancer’s YouTube, Twitter and
