Sophie Turner Pokes Fun at Husband Joe Jonas with Bracelet Inspired by His Ex, Taylor Swift
This week, the Game of Thrones star, 27, posted a slideshow of photos on Instagram documenting her experience at opening night of the Jonas Brothers’ The Tour in New York.
Turner attended the concert in support of Jonas, 34, who’s kicking off an 86-city tour. Understandably, it was a big night. But that didn’t stop Turner from getting in a playful dig at her husband.
Scroll to the right in the slideshow, and you’ll see a closeup of Turner’s wrist decorated with several friendship bracelets. If you look past the colorful beads and “Jonas” references, you’ll notice that Turner is wearing a “Mr. Perfectly Fine” bracelet.
The phrase is obviously a nod to Swift’s song of the same name, which is featured on Fearless (Taylor’s Version). But there’s also a hidden meaning behind it because “Mr. Perfectly Fine” was supposedly written about Swift’s breakup with Jonas. (Jonas dated Swift in 2008 before marrying Turner years later.)
We weren’t the only ones who noticed the bracelet. One fan wrote on Turner’s post, “The Mr. Perfectly Fine bracelet is sending me.” Another added, “The Mr. Perfectly Fine bracelet [laughing emoji] Sophie is such a queen.”
Exchanging friendship bracelets isn’t a new concept. However, the trend gained popularity during Swift’s Eras Tour. Fans were inspired by a line in “You’re on Your Own, Kid,” which says: “So make the friendship bracelets.”
